Frederick L. Carpenter, II
Fred Carpenter focuses his practice on bankruptcy and insolvency law, commercial law, litigation and business transactions. He joined Daniel L. Freeland & Associates, P.C., in 2009. Prior to that, he worked as in-house counsel for a small investment company representing the company in various business transactions, mergers and acquisitions. He has also practiced in litigation firms with matters spanning from the trial courts to the Indiana Court of Appeals and the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals. He currently represents a Chapter 7 Panel Trustee in the Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Indiana, as well as business clients and individuals, both within and outside of the bankruptcy system.
Fred is active in the Indiana Dunes Great Banquet Community and his church. His family consists of his wife, two daughters and two cats with whom he spends as much time as possible when not in the office.
- EDUCATION: Fred earned his J.D. from Valparaiso University School of Law in 2005. He graduated from Purdue University in 1998, receiving a B.A. in Philosophy. While at Purdue, he served as President and Treasurer of his Fraternity, Sigma Tau Gamma.
